A PUBLIC consultation has opened for the asset transfer of an old Peeblesshire railway building.
The Old Railway Building, also known as the East Station Office, is up for an asset transfer to the Peebles Community Trust
The public notification period will begin tomorrow (Saturday, March 30).
The consultation period will give the local community in Peebles the chance to share their comments and feedback on the proposal for Peebles Community Trust to purchase the site.
The consultation will remain open April 29.
Members of the public can share their views and access more information on the proposal through Scottish Borders Council's Citizen Space.
Comments can also be submitted in writing by email to: communityengagement@scotborders.gov.uk or by post to the Communities & Partnerships Team, Council Headquarters, Newtown St Boswells, Melrose TD6 0SA.
The public can also see plans for the asset transfer at Peebles Library and Peebles Contact Centre.
