AUSTIN. - (Melrose)Peacefully after a short illness at the Borders General Hospital on Friday 17th March 2017, Alec, aged 86 years, founder of Austin Coach Travel, dearly beloved husband of Jean, much loved dad of Douglas, Barry and Nicola and loving grandfather and great grandfather to his family. Cremation service at Borders Crematorium on Thursday 23rd March at 12noon, to which all friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please, but donations if desired will be received on retiring from service for Palliative Care, Borders General Hospital.

Fond memories of Alec chasing us and keeping our ball when Denham Lothian, GeorgeJamieson, David Lang and myself(Walter Armstrong) and others kept kicking the ball over the wall from BRS Garage into his garden! Happy Days.
