McCUE Alistair (Galashiels) Peacefully at the Margaret Kerr Unit on Sunday 18 March 2018, Alistair (Alex). Beloved husband of Angela. Loving father of Paul, Katie and David and much loved grandad of Kevin, Mila, David, Daniel, Jessica and Blair. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St. Cuthbert's High Cross Church, Melrose on Tuesday 27 March, 11am, thereafter to Eastlands Cemetery for 12.15pm, to which all friends are welcome. Family flowers only please, but donations if desired, to Macmillan Centre, Borders General Hospital. RIP

I fondly remember Alex (Mr McCue) from my ITeC days at Langlee. He was the manager. Alex' decision to interview and welcome me into the centre was the start of my path into IT. He was professional, strict (a definite requirement), respected and fair. A very talented and capable man who was driven to support and guide exuberant Border youths to find their way into further studies or office, electronics, IT work. My condolences to the McCue family. Alex was a great man and personally influenced my path in life. For that.. I am very grateful. My sincere condolences. Thomas Allan, MBCS.
