Liberty Belle at Prestwick Airport

“Liberty Belle”, one of the few World War 2 B17 “Flying Fortresses” still flying, made a historic stop over at Prestwick Airport on Wednesday, July 2.

The Ayr Advertiser Film Crew were on the tarmac at the airport to bring you an exclusive video report on this historic occasion.

In a fitting tribute to the men and women who served with the United States Air Force during World War 2, and the men and women of all the armed forces, the video report below went live online on Friday, July 4, Independence Day for the United States of America.
