By Alexa Brown
A 42 year-old woman from Fountainhall had to be cut free from her car by firefighters following a smash on the A7 road yesterday (Wednesday).
Emergency crews were called to the accident just north of Stow at around 8.30 am.
Firefighters had to cut the woman from her car after it collided with another vehicle on the notoriously dangerous road.
She was taken to the Borders General Hospital where she was treated for a broken arm.
A 37 year-old man and a 36 year-old woman, both from Galashiels, were treated for minor injuries.
The road was closed for two hours and enquiries are continuing in to the cause of the crash.
