Gala tackle mighty Motherwell
GALA Fairydean prepare to kick-off the new season with a game against one of the biggest teams in Scotland this weekend.
The Netherdale side tackle Motherwell, who finished third in the Scottish Premier League last season and qualified for a place in the UEFA Cup, at home on Sunday (kick-off 3 pm).
They anticipate a bumper crowd for the glamour friendly against the under 19s team which could include one or two players from the senior squad.
The ‘Dean, who beat Coldstream 4-1 and drew 2-2 with Berwick United last week, also travel away to play Easthouses Lily on Thursday night before they kick-off the season in earnest next month.
