YOUNGSTERS from the Borders will perform one of the most successful shows in the world on the big stage in the capital this weekend.

Following the phenomenal successes of Oliver!, High School Musical, Annie & Anything Goes the Edinburgh Playhouse Theatre is once again opening its doors to the city's budding young actors, musicians and technicians, with a 5th Stage Experience Production.

The Playhouse Stage Experience is a two week theatrical workshop for young people aged 10-21 years and will culminate in three performances of the musical production FAME on Friday and Saturday, July 23 and 24.

Over 130 youngsters from Edinburgh, Fife & the Lothians will take part in this years production. This is a rare and fantastic opportunity for the local youngsters to work closely with a team of theatre professionals in the UK's largest theatre and a fantastic opportunity for you to see the stars of the future!

FAME tells the story of a group of students and their quest for success. From their auditions to graduation ceremony, their highs, lows, friendships, romances and sheer hard work that is daily life for the star-struck pupils. The kids from FAME will wow you with their inspiring story, phenomenal dance routines and unforgettable songs, including the legendary Fame.
