MUSIC fans are in for a treat when highly talented guitarist Sunjay is promoted to the top spot at St Boswells Live.

Performing on Saturday, April 8, the blues/folk guitarist and singer proved a huge hit with St Boswells Live when he appeared as a support artist last year.

His eclectic mix of standards, covers and self-penned songs of remarkable versatility and skill will perform a full set this time round.

With a relaxed and confident manner, vocal style and mastery of his instrument he walks onto a stage and addresses the audience as though he is sitting down to play music with a group of close friends.

Promoter, Keith Farnish, said: "When Sunjay played as a support act in 2016, there were calls for him to come back and play a full set - the audience really wanted more.

"We are delighted that he is travelling back up to see us once again.

"He has a completely natural approach for a young man who picked up the guitar when he was just four years old and hasn’t put it down since.

"When he last performed at the club, he held the audience in the palm of his hand, demonstrating his vocal and instrumental talents, along with his charm and self-deprecating humour."

Also on the St Boswells Live bill with Sunjay are a heavily blues soaked group of some of the finest roots musicians in Scotland.

Hush Hush is a highly popular trio from the Borders.

Seoras Ashby is an accomplished singer and guitar player. Frank Usher is a world class guitarist who has worked with artists such as Tam White, John Martyn, Mike Heron and Fish.

Bill Muir is a stunning harmonica player who played with many of the American blues greats touring London in the 1960s.

They combine to deliver a beautifully crafted blend of roots, blues and indie-folk music.
