ONE of the hottest new bands in Scotland are coming to Galashiels.

Tide Lines last week announced a 13-date tour of the country to follow on from their forthcoming sell-out Celtic Connections headline show.

The four-piece from the Highlands took the charts by storm last year with the release of their debut album, Dreams We Never Lost.

Initially formed by two ex-Skipinnish members Robert Robertson (singer) and Ross Wilson (piano), Tide Lines emerged just over a year ago with the addition of Alasdair Turner (guitar and bagpipes) and Fergus Munro (drums).

They released their Far Side of the World single in 2016,

And its lyrical theme of the connection between youth and location formed the basis for Dreams We Never Lost.

Featuring on the debut release was Waterboy and current Saw Doctor Anthony Thistlewaite.

A fervent online fanbase has been growing for Tide Lines and not only ensured their Celtic Connections show in January 2018 sold out in a matter of hours, but also resulted in their music racking up in excess of 350,000 single track streams across Spotify, Apple Music and other platforms during the first half of 2017.

Whilst their music is heavily influenced by and rooted in the places they grew up in they produce a highly eclectic sound.

Following the Celtic Connections headline show in Glasgow Tide Lines will embark on their tour in Kirkwall and Lerwick.

And they will arrive at the MacArts centre in Galashiels on Saturday, March 17.

The tour concludes at The Garage in Glasgow.

Tickets for the tour will soon be available from www.ticketmaster.co.uk & www.beyondpresents.co.uk
