COMMITTED to providing opportunities for young people in the Borders, Waverley Housing is delighted to welcome new apprentices recently recruited.
An Apprentice Open Day, in collaboration with Borders College and CITB, held at Borders College – Hawick Campus, resulted in recruits, Jack McDonald (apprentice painter); Harris Campbell (apprentice roofer); Ruaridh Macleod and Steven Drummond (apprentice joiners), joining Ryan Cockburn, currently in his second year of an electrical apprenticeship.
All apprentices are working within Waverley’s Property Services Team on a four-year apprenticeship.
Louise Davies joins existing apprentice Rachel Hunter in the office, with both completing a two-year apprenticeship in SVQ Level 3 Business & Administration.
After four years of developing their skills and confidence, Waverley said farewell to some previous apprentices, Hayden Reith; James Burns and Jordan Paterson, all having successfully completed their apprenticeship and securing employment with local firms.
Upon completing his joinery apprenticeship, Connor Brunton has been recruited onto Waverley’s Planned Maintenance Team as a full-time joiner.
