POLICE have released CCTV footage of a man they wish to trace in connection with high-value thefts from a shop in St Boswells. 

At around 11.45am on Saturday, June 6 three fishing reels were stolen from the Gun Room in Main Street. 

The man pictured within is thought to be connected with the thefts and anyone who can help establish his identity is asked to come forward. 

He is described as white and wearing pale brown trousers, black and white trainers and a black anorak. 

PC Gary Barnard said: "We are continuing with our enquiries to recover the stolen reels and would ask that anyone who recognises the male in this footage contacts police immediately. 

"Similarly, anyone with any further information relevant to this investigation should also get in touch."
