AN appeal will be made later today for witnesses to a fatal crash near the Peeblesshire village of Eddleston yesterday evening.
The A703 was closed for around six hours following the two vehicle collision at around 4.40pm, which left one dead and two injured.
Police confirmed this morning that enquiries were ongoing into the cause of the crash between a car and van close to Leadburn junction.
A Police Scotland spokesman told the Border Telegraph: “We received a call around 4.40pm following a serious road traffic collision on the A703 in the Borders.
“The road was closed between Edinburgh and Peebles."
