POLICE have arrested two teenagers following a spate of vandalism and a vicious assault in Hawick.
The 16- and 19-year-old are accused of damaging three cars in the Stirches Road area on the town on April 3.
The door of a property in Dickson Street was also targetted.
The pair are also alleged to have carried out an assault on a 20-year-old man in Princes Street.
He sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
PC Martin Gibson, who is based at Hawick Police Station, said: "I want to thank the local community for their assistance with our investigation, and reassure residents that we remain committed to preventing anti-social behaviour and pursuing perpetrators when this does occur."
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
