NO trains will run on the Borders Railway after 6.30pm tonight due to staff walk outs.
ScotRail staff have planned a series of strikes in the coming weeks, with the first of seven having occurred today.
Members of Transport Union RMT - ScotRail conductors - are striking due to the extension of 'driver only operation' on trains.
Angry commuters have been facing severe disruption throughout today, as trains between Tweedbank and the capital have been running on a reduced hourly service, with those before 7.30am and after 6.30pm being cancelled altogether.
The strike action is planned for:
Tuesday, June 21, Thursday, June 23, Saturday, June 25, Sunday, June 26, Sunday, July 3, Sunday, July 10, Sunday, July 17.
