A 32-year-old man has been remanded in custody at Jedburgh Sheriff Court after being accused of a series of drug-related offences.
It follows an incident on Wednesday afternoon when a vehicle was searched in the town's Edinburgh Road car park.
Ian MacRae from Kyle of Lochalsh made a private court appearance and was charged two counts of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.
He is also charged with possession of controlled drugs.
In addition, MacRae is accused of obstructing officers carrying out a search and police assault.
He made no plea or declaration and the case was continued for examination.
MacRae is expected to appear back in court next week.
