STAFF at the Galashiels PDSA shop are urging animal lovers to donate any unwanted items as part of it's campaign to help local pets.

The shop is appealing for desperately needed items including CDs, DVDs, books and homewares as well as men’s and ladies clothes, shoes and accessories. Donations can be taken to the shop from Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm.

PDSA Assistant Shop Manager, Robert Russell, said: “We’re looking to encourage local people to donate their unwanted items, which will help make a huge difference for poorly pets.

"If you have good quality items that you no longer use please consider donating them to PDSA. As well as de-cluttering your home, you’ll be helping raise money to treat sick and injured pets in need."

"We’re appealing for all types of items, especially good quality men's, ladies and children's clothing which are popular with our customers. We also need home furnishings such as vases, pictures and ornaments as well as toys, games, books, DVDs and CDs," he added.

To donate items to the shop, either drop them off at 64 Channel Street, Galashiels or call Robert on 01896 759881 to arrange a collection.
