A 47-year-old man was found with 244 cannabis plants at a house in Walkerburn, Jedburgh Sheriff Court has been told.
Jacek Kedziora pleaded guilty to charges of cultivating cannabis and by-passing the electricity supply at the house in Tweedholm Avenue East between April 30 and July 9, 2015.
Kedziora of Measham in Leicestershire, was due to face a jury trial but pleaded guilty before it got underway.
A not guilty plea to being concerned in the supply of cannabis was accepted by the Crown.
Sheriff Valerie Johnston deferred sentence until November 3 for the preparation of background reports.
