A DISQUALIFIED driver was found to be three and a half times the legal alcohol limit when he was stopped in Galashiels.
Aramis Czyz pleaded guilty at Selkirk Sheriff Court to driving with a a breath/alcohol count of 78 microgrammes - the legal limit being 22 - in Winston Place and his home street of Beech Avenue on May 28.
The 34-year-old Polish national is currently serving a 20 month ban.
He admitted charges of driving while disqualified and with no insurance.
Sheriff Peter Paterson imposed a ban of 40 months due to Czyz's record and he was also given a 12 month community pay back order with supervision.
