THE Roxburgh and Berwickshire Citizens Advice Bureau has secured £32,000 to run its award-winning Youth Info project from the Robertson Trust.
Set up in 2009, the Youth Info project is aimed at youngsters aged 16-25 to help offer confidential advice to and guidance to young people.
Lesley Macdonald, head of giving at the Robertson Trust said: “The aims of the Youth Info project are a natural fit with our Strengthening Communities funding strand and we look forward to seeing how it progresses in the coming months.
"We believe it is vitally important that young people are given the practical advice they need to make strong financial decisions and improve their financial literacy, especially around consumer issues and money management.”
Rhona Calder, manager of Roxburgh & Berwickshire Citizens Advice Bureau, said: “We appreciate the continued match funding from the Robertson Trust enabling us to deliver an advice service to young people in the Borders in locations and mediums deemed accessible by them.”
“We want to encourage young people to volunteer to increase their employability.”
