McCutcheon failed to stop for police
A GALASHIELS driver has been jailed for almost a year after admitting dangerous driving in streets in Galashiels and Gattonside.
Stuart McCutcheon pleaded guilty to failing to stop when ordered to by police, mounting a pavement, driving at excessive speed and overtaking in the face of oncoming traffic.
McCutcheon was due to face a jury at Jedburgh Sheriff Court but pleaded guilty before the trial got underway.
In addition to the 350-day jail sentence he was disqualified from driving for five years and ordered to re-sit his driving test.
