POLICE are probing the unexplained death of a Selkirk man this morning.
Officers were called to a house in Eastfield Road just after 11.30am.
An ambulance was also called to the property.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland confirmed the man's death is being treated as unexplained.
She said: "Police in the Scottish Borders were called to a house on Eastfield Road, Selkirk, around 11.30am following a report of concern for a person.
"The Scottish Ambulance Service also attended and a man was sadly pronounced dead.
"Enquiries are at an early stage, however the death is currently believed to be non-suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
Uniformed officers and detectives are conducting door-to-door enquiries following the discovery of the body.
