BOSSES at a distillery in Hawick have unveiled plans to create a zero waste facility on the site.
The Three Stills Company were given planning permission last July to convert the former Urban Electric Company building on Commercial Road into a distillery.
Renovation work is currently ongoing and production is expected to start later this year with the creation of around 20 jobs.
The company has now submitted proposals to establish an on-site facility for turning waste from the distillery process into biogas.
A full planning application for the anaerobic digestion plant has been submitted with Scottish Borders Council.
When the Borders Distillery opens later this year it will become the first in the Borders for 180 years.
