Sunday's youngest runner, Archie Morris, recorded an impressive 1.20 hours.

Motor neurone disease charity MND Scotland and the Selkirk Rhinos tour fund benefitted from the £537.60 which was raised.

Sheila Cochrane from the organising committee told us: "The weather was a mixed bag with plenty of mud , snow and a healthy wind to blow the cobwebs away. This didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits and they were soon warmed up back at Selkirk Cricket Club for the prizegiving

"As usual love was in the air and everyone enjoyed their day as well as raising lots of money for two great causes.

"I would like to say a big thank you to Shelagh Pearce and Vicki Macfarlane for helping out in the kitchen, to my soup makers and the Cricket

Club for letting us use their facilities."
