A GALASHIELS man has been accused of a fraud charge involving £2,349 worth of building materials.
Ross Butler is charged with pretending to a woman that he was going to purchase building materials for work to a house in Ellywn terrace, Galashiels, and induced her to pay him the sum between July and November.
The 38-year-old also faces a second charge of pretending to arrange skip hire for work at a house in Abbotsford Road, Galashiels, in July and obtaining £210 by fraud.
A trial date has been fixed for June 6 at Selkirk Sheriff Court with an intermediate hearing on May 8.
