A MAN and a woman have been remanded in custody at Jedburgh Sheriff Court after being charged with attempted murder.
It follows an incident in Torwoodlee Road, Galashiels, during the early hours of Saturday morning when a 30-year-old man sustained serious injuries to his face and body.
Twenty three year old Jordan Inglis from Selkirk and Kirsty McManus, who is 31 and from Galashiels, are accused of assault to severe injury and permanent disfigurement, danger of life, hamesucken and robbery.
They also face a second charge of possession of a firearm.
The pair made no plea during a private hearing in front of Sheriff Derrick McIntyre.
They were remanded in custody and expected to appear in court again next Monday.
