Linlithgow Ladies 2s 0

Fjordhus Reivers 5s 4

YET another great win for Fjordhus Reivers 5s this weekend with a well earned 4-0 result against Linlithgow Ladies 2s at Linlithgow Academy.

Not only have the Reivers won the league but they have now notched up a remarkable 100 goals this season.

With two matches still to play they can’t be caught.

It was a very fast paced game from the first whistle but Linlithgow were no match for the Reivers athleticism and skill with the ball.

A run of great passing between Chloe Aitchison, Sophie Laurie and Beth Duff ended with a pass to Molly Turnbull who powered in Reivers first goal. Soon after Aitchison passed a great ball to Laurie for Reivers second goal.

Amy Davenport, Reivers' goalkeeper, had an outstanding match with three great saves throughout preventing any goals scored by the frustrated Linlithgow team.

There was also some superb defending by player coach Jemma Willins, Caoimhe Minnikin, Imogen Dawson, Lily Towers, Yvonne Hogg, Blythe Duff and Hannah Miller.

Laurie, who has been playing brilliantly this half of the season, performed a great solo run resulting in Reivers third goal of the first half.

Turnbull took a blow to the head with a high ball soon into the second half and had to sit out for most of the remaining game.

Her determination to get back on the pitch paid off in the final minutes as she produced an outstanding pass to Laurie allowing Reivers 5s to score final goal of the day.

A big thank you to parents and players from Fjordhus Reivers 2s who stayed on to cheer on the 5s.
