FAMILIES from Peeblesshire and beyond are being encouraged to live life adventurously during the Easter holidays.

The outdoor forest adventure experience Go Ape, in Peebles, has reopened for the new season and offers the chance to hang out in the trees.

Situated in the Glentress Forest, participants can explore the woodland from a new perspective and experience nature in the tree canopy high above the ground.

Visitors have the opportunity to unleash their inner Aape in the great outdoors, by flying down zip wires, leaping off Tarzan swings and navigating obstacles, crossings and rope bridges set amidst the Peeblesshire scenery.

For those brave enough, there’s also a chance to take part in the skateboard zip wire, and put balance and nerve skills to the test on the Twister rope ladder crossing.

Among the obstacles at Go Ape Peebles, there’s also a chance to try the highest zip wire in the country, located 160ft above the reservoir.

The area also allows for other activities including walking, mountain bike hire, cycle trails, and the chance to take in the views of the Tweed Valley.

Prices for Go Ape range start from £25 (aged 10 to 15) and £33 (aged 16 and over). For further information and to book, visit: www.goape.co.uk
