POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 47-year-old cyclist was struck by a car on the A68.

The incident took place on the southbound carriageway, between Earlston and Drygrange, around 1pm on Monday, April 3.

The cyclist was struck by a white Renault car, which failed to stop, and the 47-year-old woman was taken to Borders General Hospital with minor injuries.

PC Gavin Liddle of Duns Police Station said: "We're asking anyone who may have seen the car described in the area around this time, or who may have information about this collision, to get in touch.

"If the driver see's this appeal, we'd urge them to contact us as soon as possible."
