A JEDBURGH man has appeared in private at the town's sheriff court accused of assaulting a man to the danger of his life.
David McLaughlin of Castlegate, is charged with committing the offence in Jedburgh on Sunday.
The 59-year-old made no plea and the case was continued for further examination.
McLaughlin was released on bail by Sheriff Peter Paterson.
