THE A7 north of Heriot was closed in both directions earlier today to allow for the recovery of a lorry.
A 57-year-old driver of the vehicle was treated at the scene when it overturned this morning at around 8am.
Throughout the morning the southbound carriageway remained partially blocked.
And traffic in both directions experienced delays.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "The A7 in both directions was closed to allow for the recovery of the vehicle to take place."
The road reopened just after 2pm.
