A GALASHIELS man who admitted two drink driving offences in the space of three days will be sentenced next month at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Thirty-six-year-old Barry Johnston of Balnakiel Terrace, pleaded guilty to driving with a breath/alcohol count of 97 microgrammes in Wilderhaugh, Galashiels, on February 1 - more than four times the legal limit being 22.
On February 4 he admitted driving dangerously on the A7 between Ashkirk and Hawick by failing to keep his vehicle under control, enterting the opposite carriageway when it was unsafe to do so and applying the brakes for no reason.
Johnston also pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while unfit through drink or drugs on that occasion.
The court was told that Johnston had already received an interim disqualification from driving.
Sheriff Kevin Drummond deferred sentence until May 23 for the production of a Criminal Justice Social Work Report.
