A GALASHIELS man will stand trial at Selkirk Sheriff Court accused of receiving almost £6,000 in benefits to which he was not entitled.
Grant Mitchell, of Talisman Avenue, denies receiving £5,929.85 in housing and council tax benefit and Job Seeker's Allowance while in receipt of an occupational pension.
The 45-year-old is alleged to have committed the offence at a house in Hall Street, Innerleithen, between July 2012 and February 2014.
