BORDERS wheelchair athlete Samantha Kinghorn has broken a further two records during her tour of America.

The 21-year-old from Gordon smashed the T53 world record last weekend in Arizona.

And she followed it up by breaking the best ever times by a European athlete this week in Indianapolis.

Sammi trimmed an amazing 0.3 seconds from the European record of 16.62 seconds in the T53 100 metres to win gold.

Although finishing just behind America's T54 athlete Cheri Madsen in the 400 metres, Sammi again lowered the European record with a time of 55.08 seconds.

Samantha went on to record the second fastest time ever recorded by a T53 racer in the 200 metres - just short of her own world record from the previous week.

The world and European medalist also competed well over 800 metres and 1500 metres.

Samantha now travels to Switzerland to compete in Arbon next week ahead of the World Championships later this summer in London.
