LAST Sunday saw the annual tournament at Broughton Bowling Club for the highly coveted Glenconner Shield take place.
And it proved to be an all Innerleithen climax with two rinks from St Ronan's reaching the final.
The tournament, organised by the Peeblesshire County Bowling Association, attracted a large number of entrants from all the clubs in the region. Although the weather was a bit dreich to start with, it brightened up as the day went on.
And as the competition is in the form of a knock out tournament, both of the St Ronan's of Innerleithen rinks had to battle through several rounds to reach the final.
The eventual winners of the trophy were Gloria Smith, Doug Currie, Ibby Currie and Hazel Dodds who overcame the team of Robert Crawford jr, Paul Graham, Robert Crawford sr, and Derick Pearce.
