PAINKILLERS have been stolen from a house in the Borders.
The theft took place on Monday in the Sprouston area when a quantity of oxycodone hydrochloride tablets were stolen.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Oxycodone hydrochloride is a strong painkiller and can cause significant harm if taken by someone who has not been prescribed this by a medical professional.
"Anyone who may have seen suspicious behaviour in the area or has any information on the whereabouts of the medication is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 as soon as possible, quoting incident number 0020 of 28 June.
"Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
