A SELKIRK teenager has been accused of running away from police as they tried to carry out a stop and search.
Kieran Barron of Muthag Streewas stopped by officers on June 2 as they wanted to carry out a drugs search.
The 19-year-old denies running away as well as obstructing police and attempting to escape custody.
The offences are alleged to have been committed in the town's Linglie Road and Market Place.
A trial has been set for September 26 at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
