A NEW lease of life has been given to a Peebles bridge with the completion of resurfacing works.
Peebles Community Council heard last week that Priorsford footbridge now has anti-slip decking.
Built in 1905, the bridge links Tweed Green with Victoria Park and is a main crossing point for pupils from Peebles High School.
The resurfacing was carried out on July 11.
Priorsford Bridge was constructed in 1905 with a wire rope suspension design.
The bridge is also the main crossing point for pupils from Peebles High school who walk across to the town centre at lunchtime.
