A CARER who used the bank account of a 65-year-old stroke victim to obtain services has admitted two fraud charges at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Thirty-one-year-old Carly March of Cheviot Road, Hawick, admitted pretending to Sky Digital and Kwikfit Insurance that she had permission of the owner to use the account to obtain the services.
The offences happened at a house in Denholm during the course of her employment between February 1 and September 1 last year.
Sheriff Derrick McIntyre said March was in a position of trust and noted she had previous convictions including one for dishonesty.
He deferred sentence until September 11 for background reports including a Restriction of Liberty Order assessment.
