THE funeral of a Peebles postwoman allegedly stabbed to death will take place in her home town on Friday.
Alexandra Stuart, 22, had been a party in the Cuddyside area of Peebles when the emergency services were alerted at around 11.20am on Sunday, August 6.
She was rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary to be treated for her injuries but passed away later that day.
Her funeral is scheduled to take place in the Eastgate Theatre on Friday at 11am followed by a burial at Peebles Cemetery.
Meanwhile, Nicholas Rogers made a second private court appearance today charged with her murder.
He is also accused of assault and police assault.
The 26-year-old of Innerleithen, made no plea and was fully committed.
He was remanded in custody at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
