A TIE up between Borders College and a local social landlord has led to a new online training centre going live.

Eildon Housing Association, working in collaboration with the college, has introduced the Learning Management System for its staff this month.

The new system allows Eildon workforce to access a range of online learning resources for flexi study.

Nile Istephan, CEO of Eildon, told us: “Eildon considers the skills and motivation of our staff team to be essential to driving our organisation forward and we want to ensure that we are an exemplary employer.

"From securing Living Wage accreditation, our expanding work on developing our young workforce, through to the training and development opportunities we make available to all of our staff, we encourage our colleagues to develop their training and practice to ensure that we can implement our ambitious plans.

"We have worked well with our friends at Borders College in developing this new portal and look forward to further collaborations in the future.”

The new online system will augment other forms of learning and development as part of a package of support.

Now implemented, the opportunities to develop this portal are almost endless, with a range of training modules available that can be accessed, as well as the potential to develop new bespoke content.

Borders College principal Angela Cox said: "Borders College are delighted to work in partnership with Eildon Housing and support the development of their learning portal.

"I look forward to progressing our partnership and have confidence that it will benefit both organisations and the region.”
