A MOTORIST who admitted driving at 99mph on the A68 has been banned from the road for 56 days at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Logan Howie pleaded guilty to the offence which happened near Blackburn Farm outside Lauder on April 16.
He was originally charged with reaching speeds of up to 120mph but admitted the lesser speed of 99mph.
The 23-year-old of Windram Place, Chirnside, was also fined £250.
