POLICE have said they are not treating the death of a man whose body was recovered from a Borders river as suspicious.
A specialist water rescue team were dispatched to assist police and firefighters at a spot on the River Teviot at Roxburgh shortly after 2.15pm on Sunday afternoon.
Police Scotland told the Border Telegraph: "Police were called to the River Teviot at Roxburgh around 2pm on Sunday, September 3 after the body of an elderly man was discovered by a member of the public.
"Enquiries are ongoing however the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
