A BUSY community council is at risk of being shelved unless at least two more nominations are made by lunch-time on Thursday.
An appeal was made by Jedburgh Community Council last month for new members to come forward.
And they have so far attracted three or four of the six new members required.
The closing date for nominations is noon on Thursday (September 21).
Nomination forms, which should be returned to local councillor Scott Hamilton, are available from https://www.scotborders.gov.uk/downloads/download/372/community_council_elections
A spokesman told us: "At least six nominations are needed or Jedburgh Community Council will be temporarily disbanded."
