One of main routes into Borders closed by police
ONE of the busiest routes into the Borders is currently closed.
Motorists are being told to avoid the A696/A68 junction between Kielder and Carter Bar, (on the England side of the Border) while a damaged HGV is recovered.
The closure came into effect at 3.30pm and is expected to re-open at 5.30pm.
