HOMELESSNESS charity Shelter Scotland is celebrating its most successful Borders Cycle Challenge to date.
Volunteers from the staff of event sponsor Rettie & Co raised just over £3000 - pushing the total raised from the event to a record £12,718.67.
A total of 36 riders pedalled either 50 or 100 miles across the scenic Borders to raise cash for the charity which helps over a half a million people a year struggling with bad housing or homelessness.
Graeme Brown, director of Shelter Scotland, said: "Shelter Scotland is here so that no-one has to face bad housing or homelessness along but we can’t do that without the help of fundraisers like those who took part in the Borders Cycle Challenge.
“I have to thank our sponsor Rettie & co, our hosts at Kelso Racetrack and all of the cyclists who took to the roads and encouraged friends and family to donate.”
This year was the fourth Borders Cycle Challenge.
