A HAWICK man who had sex with an underage girl will be sentenced next month.
Twenty nine year old David Adamson of The Loan, pleaded guilty to the offence which happened on various occasions between January 1, 2015, and April 15, 2015, at two houses in Selkirk.
Selkirk Sheriff Court was told the girl was 15 at the time.
Fiscal Graham Fraser said Adamson was well aware of her age and he regularly said to her he could not wait until she was 16 so they could have an open relationship.
Sheriff Peter Paterson said: "You will appreciate this is an extremely serious matter."
Sentence was deferred until December 18 for background reports and Adamson's name was placed on the Sexual Offences Register.
He also pleaded not guilty to sending to a charge of intentionally sending a written communication to her.
The case will recall at Selkirk Sheriff Court on December 18.
