AN elderly driver has been charged with causing a crash last month which left a biker with serious injuries.
The 52-year-old motorcyclist was rushed to Borders General Hospital on Saturday, October 28 after colliding with a car on the A698 near Hawick.
Following investigations officers have charged an 81-year-old woman, who was allegedly driving a grey Nissan Almera, with causing the collision.
The took place at the junction with the A6088, Hawick to Bonchester Bridge, around 10.55am on Saturday, October 28.
The road was closed until around 4pm and diversions were put in place while investigations were conducted at the scene.
A report will be submitted to Procurator Fiscal.
