A Peebles man has appeared in private at Selkirk Sheriff Court accused of two offences.
Thirty five year old Michael Snodgrass is charged with behaving in a threatening or abusive manner and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
The offences are alleged to have occurred in Peebles earlier this week.
Snodgrass made no plea and the case was continued for further examination.
Bail was refused and he was remanded in custody.
