A SELKIRK teenager has been banned from playing loud music following alleged anti social offences at Hogmanay.
David Cotton appeared from custody at the town's sheriff court accused of breaching the terms of his ASBO by playing music at excessive volume at his Buccleuch Road home.
The 19-year-old pleaded not guilty to the offences which were said to have happened on December 21 and on Hogmanay.
But he did admit attempting to pervert the course of justice by giving police a wrong name and date of birth.
Sentence was deferred for that offence until the outcome of his trial on March 13.
Cotton was released on bail with the special condition that he does not operate any sound producing device that can be heard outside his home.
