A GALASHIELS teenager is flying high after winning his place at a major golf tournament in America.
Jack McDonald is part of the East Lothian Junior League team to take part in the Winternational Competition in North Carolina.
The 15-year-old is spending 10 days at the Pinehurst Resort to face competition from some of the top young golfers from around the world.
The Scottish Golf Performance Academy player was selected for the East Lothian team after a successful 2017 playing for Haddington Golf Club.
He helped East Lothian to an overall fourth in the league as well as finishing fourth in the year's Order of Merit.
Jack also won the East Lothian Under 16 Championship.
Proud dad Scott told us: "Both Jack's mum, Karen and I, as well as Jack, are very grateful for the continued support from the Rowan Boland Trust and Club Sport Ettrick and Lauderdale who have both helped fund this trip."
